The Moment It Happened

When they called my name, my first thought was not about the crown.

It was about Jessica.

It was about every woman who had ever told me that my message had helped her see her own worth.

It was about the little girl who was bullied in school and questioned whether she would ever be enough. It was about the teacher who looked at me and said I would never accomplish my dream and that I should find a different goal.

It was about every setback, every disappointment, every early morning, every late night, and every moment I chose to keep believing when it would have been easier to give up.

Earning the title of Ms. USA Purpose 2026 became one of the most meaningful moments of my life. Not because of the crown itself, but because it represented perseverance, purpose, and the reminder that no one else gets to define what is possible for your life.

Earning this title wasn’t the finish line. It was the beginning of an even greater opportunity to share a message that matters.

More Than a Title

I want to be clear about something. This title is not the destination. It is a platform.

What matters most is not that I earned the title. What matters is how I choose to use it.

I have seen what happens when people view a crown as the end of the story. For me, it is simply the next chapter.

The message of self worth, purpose, resilience, the legacy of Jessica, and the courage to believe in yourself has always existed. This title allows me to share that message with more people, but it does not define it.

What I Plan to Do With It

My goal this year is simple.

To show up.

To show up at speaking engagements, schools, community events, pageants, volunteer opportunities, and anywhere someone needs to hear that they are enough.

To continue raising awareness for Cystic Fibrosis in honor of Jessica.

To encourage women to embrace the message of Crown Yourself First and recognize that their worth is never determined by a title, achievement, or someone else’s opinion.

To remind young girls who may be experiencing bullying or hearing discouraging words that another person’s limitations do not have to become their own.

I know what it feels like to have people doubt you.

I also know what it feels like to prove that your future belongs to you, not to the opinions of others.

The title of Ms. USA Purpose 2026 has given me a larger platform, and I intend to use every opportunity to encourage others to believe in themselves, serve their communities, and never stop pursuing the purpose placed on their hearts.
